I don’t need 24 hours. I don’t have to talk to anybody. I know right now, and the answer’s no. No! Doggone it! How can we be expected to teach children to learn how to read if they can’t even fit inside the building?
It’s nothing personal! I just need to cut way back on Tumblr/everything.

What movie is this from???
It is episode 6x13 of Star Trek: Deep Space 9, “Far Beyond the Stars.” Found it by googling k.c. hunter and benny russell.
This episode (actually directed by Avery Brooks, who plays Sisko) is full of sf easter eggs, for those in the know. For example, Kira’s counterpart, K. C. Hunter, parallels women writers like C. L. Moore and D. C. Fontana. Re: Benny Russell, I’m reminded of the bit in Delany’s essay “Racism and Science Fiction” where he questions his title as “first black sf author”: “Among the ‘Remmington C. Scotts’ and the ‘Frank P. Joneses’ who litter the contents pages of the early pulps, we simply have no way of knowing if one, three, or seven or them—or even many more—were not blacks, Hispanics, women, native Americans, Asians, or whatever. Writing is like that.”

This is why I’m still into Twix and Victoria’s Secret catalogues.

I’d still hump Jared Leto.
